Five Albertson’s Stores Closing in Denver

I’ve heard much talk about Albertsons closing 5 of their Denver stores.  Here is the list of which stores will be affected:

  • 14605 West 64th Ave. in Arvada
  • 1442 South Parker Rd. in Denver
  • 8557 East Arapahoe Rd. in Greenwood Village
  • 555 W. South Boulder Rd. in Lafayette
  • 1750 Main St. in Longmont
  • In addition to closing these stores the distribution center in Aurora will also close(distribution will be moved to a current Arizona facility).  The stores are scheduled to close by the end of October.  This is a good chance to browse and look for marked down items.

I would be very sad to see my local Albertsons closing since that is usally where I buy most of my meat.  However, the company is hoping to improve the remaining Colorado stores after these 5 locations close.  Let’s hope the remaining Albertsons can continue to be successful and not have to close their doors-it would be a sad day for many couponers(yes, that’s a word!;))!

Hi, I went to the one in Denver and everything was 1/2 off. I got some Avent storage bottles and DIAPERS for really cheap. Everything had already been picked through last week so I am sure not too much is left, but if you get a chance to swing by one soon, it may be worth your time. Also, I just happened to stop there to open a Chase account for $100 and remembered they were closing. You can open a free checking account and do an auotmatic deposit or 5 debit/credit purchases you will receive $100. Maybe google Chase Cecking $100. Good luck & happy saving! ;)
