Menu Plan October 4-10th

by Danielle on October 3, 2009

I struggled with the menu this week.  I usually pencil in most of the month at a time, but haven’t gotten that done yet.  I’ll hopefully be able to this week and get a little freezer cooking done.  I’ll post some recipes if I get a chance!  Have any great freezer recipes?

Here’s our menu:ziti

Sunday-BBQ ribs(in the crockpot then onto the grill to carmelize the sauce), salad, corn casserole

Monday-Chicken Pasta Bake(Freeze 1/2)

Tuesday-Life Groups for Church so something easy-probably Stromboli since we didn’t have it last week.  I made them up and froze them for easy meals to pop out of the freezer and into the oven.

Wednesday-Potato Soup, salad, and fresh bread (Freeze 1/2 the soup)

Thursday-Eat Out

Friday-Beer Can Chicken, potatoes, corn

Saturday-Brats on the grill-we’ll be grilling year round I’m sure!

Breakfast will be cereal, english muffins, fruit, or toast

Lunches are leftovers, grill cheese, pb&j, salads, etc

What’s on your menu this week?  Have you noticed a difference in your grocery bill since you started menu planning?  Please share!

These are some great ideas. I have been menu planning for the last several months and it has been so nice. We save money and eat healthier. Thanks for some really good ideas!
