I was over budget this month, but nothing to sweat.  Like I said last week-it’s going to happen occasionally.  Hey, maybe I’ll be under this coming month.  If not, that’s ok!  I know I did the best I could(except for that awful soda we bought) and had extra people to feed(thankfully we had some great company this past month!).  So onto the details!

Albertson’s $7.04-fruit snacks x2, Hunts tomatoes x 3, Progresso Broth x4, Tony’s Pizza x2, and Honeycrisp Apples

KingSooper $14.37-cinnamon rolls x 2(free!), lunchmeat, cottage cheese, and 2 24pks of pop(this will be eliminated soon! ;)

Albertsons $8.67-I was unprepared for the baking day my grandma, mom and I did.  I bought flour, sugar, crisco, and cooking spray

Target-$2.36(again, lack of planning but my grandparents always drink oj in the morning! AND I got to browse through the womens clearance section with no kids! ahh, such a nice treat!)

Walgreens $3.87 (I did 4 transactions to use my RRs and get the most for my money.  I started with $13RRs, spent $3.87 and left with $8RRs!  Here’s what I purchased: 2 packs of Huggies diapers, Gillette Fusion, Dentek Floss Picks, 3 Halls Cough Drops, Hamburger Buns, 4 pencils, and 2 highlighters.  The highlighters and pencils were $.10 and $.15 each and used as filler items to get my coupon/RRs to item ratio correct.)

Weekly Total-$36.31

My Monthly Total- $174.45-my goal is $160.00 so I was $14.45 over budget.  No sweat!  I saved a lot this month and was able to stock up my freezer and pantry!
**Note-my monthly budget starts over on the 20th of every month(when money is transferred into that account)

Do you have a monthly budget?  What ways do you use to stretch your dollar?  Do you save more money when you use cash only?
