We had a guy come out on Tuesday to fix our ice maker. Thankfully the fridge was still under warranty so it didn’t cost a dime. Before he came I moved as much food as I could from the freezer to the little freezer we have in the basement. I wasn’t sure how long or how much the freezer door would be open, and I didn’t want to take any chances.
This gave me the perfect opportunity to do a freezer inventory. I usually have a list of things in the freezer and check them off as I use them, but lately I haven’t been. So I made my list today and feel great about what is in the freezer!
This is what my list looks like:

I think my goal for spending as little as possible from November 20th-December 20th should work pretty well and I’ll be able to use some of the leftover money to pay for meals on our trip over Christmas!
The best part of doing the freezer inventory is it helped me to plan for my baking day on the 21st. Now I know exactly what I have on hand and will plan the meals according to what I have so I don’t have to purchase as much.
Do you know what’s in your freezer? Is there anything in there that needs to be used up before it goes to waste? Could you do a no-spend week and eat from what’s in your fridge, freezer, and pantry? Christmas is coming up and it’s a great way to save a little cash!
