Saturday Spending Recap Jan 20-27th

by Danielle on January 30, 2010

I’ve over-by a lot.  I’m not stressing because I should be able to make up for it later in the  month.  The meat I bought will cover at least 2 weeks of meals.  The next week or two I’ll just have to buy fresh produce, milk, and maybe bread(although I still have quite a bit in there from my last run to the Oroweat Outlet)

I also had to get quite a few household items(diapers, toilet paper, etc)

Here’s what I spent:

Target $18.63-Jumbo Box Up&Up Diapers, manicotti noodles, cheese, 2 liter of Coke.  I didn’t get the cheese, pasta, or Coke on sale…or use a coupon.-That was a strange feeling!

Dollar Tree $7.35-Napkinsx2, Blueberries x3, pretzels, licorice.

Safeway$32.49-Goldfishx3, Quilted Northern, Milk, Butter, Softsoap, 5lbs ground beef, 9lb spiral ham(marked down), fruit snacks.

Target-$13.21-block cheese x2, ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, chuck roast(again, I needed the items and didn’t get the cheeses on sale)(That’s why I need to stock up on cheese at KingSooper this week so I don’t have to do that in the future!)

Weekly Total $71.68

Monthly Total $71.68

For those of you new to the site-my budget runs from the 20th of each month to the 19th of the next month.  We keep a separate account for the food/clothing/eating out/my $20 ‘spend whatever I like money’-usually something for the house/tithe.  This helps me stay accountable because that’s the only money in the account for the month!  If i’m over we can always adjust accordingly, but I’m pretty stubborn and haven’t been over for a long time now!
