One of my favorite meals last week was grilled cheese and tomato soup. We had made homemade bread in the bread machine over the weekend so I used that and cheddar cheese. Pair it with Muir Glen Tomato Basil soup and you have an amazing meal that was so simple, but oh so delicious!
I posted this just to show you meals don’t have to be extravagant. I try to add at least one super simple dish to my menu each week.
What is your favorite meals that is easy to prepare? Does your husband help in the kitchen?

My husband believes a meal isn’t a meal unless it has meat, starch, vegetable, and dessert! I could eat vegetable soup everyday… so I love your idea! We have a great system though, he cooks (fancy meals) 3 days each week AND is in charge of cleaning up the kitchen and I have the other 4 days. So I would love more ideas for yummy meals!!
I try to keep it simple with rotating dishes with chicken, fish, ground beef, pork, then pizza night on Fridays for my four days and it does help when I write out the menu on Sundays! I also love the slow cooker and always find great recipes there
Thanks for all your insight!!
I also love tomato-basil soup! Especially this cold winter season.
For anyone who has a panini press, or a George Foreman grill, those can turn your routine grilled sandwich up a notch to “gourmet”, without any more work.
One of my easy favorite meals is simply chicken breasts in the slow cooker with a can of petite-diced tomatoes and a couple tablespoons of salsa mix (I have a favorite, all-natural brand that I use). Shred the chicken when it’s done and use it in any southwest meal. Tacos or taco salad are quickest!
Of course, make a lot at once and freeze part for another meal.
