Hi, found your site a couple nites ago and really enjoyed the fact that you are in Denver and that we have the same ads to work with. Decided to try Rancho Liborio for the 1st time after reading your posts (did not know they were right down the street on Colfax) and was both pos and neg surprised. Prices were great, but the produce looked mostly like rejects from other grocery stores – less than good looking. Spent some time picking out some good pieces and paid about $3 for a full grocery bag….will probably try the store again – the deli, and meats looked good, but after I asked someone in produce a question and all I got back was a smile and a stare I did not dare order anything as I do not speak any spanish -maybe next time:) Went to Sunflower afterwards and produce there are of much higher quality -too bad they are sooo far away. Thanks for all your great posts – you have a new fan!!!

I completely agree with sometimes haven’t to pick through the produce, however the past two times I found some really great looking produce! Yes, most of the employees speak Spanish so there is a language barrier. If you don’t feel comfortable, but receive the ad bring it into Walmart and they will price match Rancho’s prices. I know Walmart doesn’t always have the best produce either-but it’s another option. I personally love practicing the little Spanish that I do know-people probably laugh at me, but I’m cool with that!-ha! Welcome to the site-let me know if you have any questions!

Just wanted to say thank you again for this great site and the “tip” about Rancho. I had never even heard about them until I found your site! Took a girlfriend there yesterday and she loved it too! I think I ‘ll be going on a regular basis as we are trying to eat more healthy and I try to load up every week on fresh produce!! Thank you for the lists and all you do:)
