We managed to stay on track for the most part this past week. We didn’t end up eating steaks Friday night. I haven’t had much of an appetite so I had a smoothie and some toast. My husband hasn’t been eating a ton-he’s eating several small meals throughout the day which makes it kind of tricky for his evening meal with us. He has a lot of will power and is down 15 pounds!(good job hun!) We’ve really been looking at nutrition labels and are amazed at the calories we were consuming and didn’t need to be. You’ll be seeing a lighter menu for us-definately smaller portions!
Breakfasts-eggs & toast, cold cereal, oatmeal, toast
Lunches-leftovers, BLT’s, Tuna Salad Sandwiches, carrots, pretzels, yogurt & fruit
Sunday-leftovers from Saturday night
Monday-Chuck Roast, grilled potatoes, steamed carrots
Tuesday-Shredded Beef Salads
Wednesday-Scrambled Egg Burritos
Thursday-BLT’s, carrot sticks, blueberries
Friday-Honey Glazed Chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli
Saturday-Dine Out
I mentioned above that we’ve been looking at calories-we may go to Ruby Tuesday this Saturday-one of their burgers(I don’t remember which one) has 1700 calories. That’s not including fries or a soda if you purchase those as well. Umm, I think I’ll pass on that burger! That’s about the calories I should be eating an entire day! Their salad bar on the other hand will probably be my pick-or sharing steak and lobster with my husband!(a fun, rare treat!)

On the Ruby Tuesday thing – I was so shocked when I found out how many calories are in their burgers! That’s probably why they are incredibly good, though! If you want to make the healthiest choice for dining there, you can read the nutrition info here: http://www.rubytuesday.com/files/allergen.pdf
That being said, I love Ruby Tuesday; their salad bar is the best!
I agree-the are SO good and their salad bar is amazing! I’m not knocking Ruby Tuesday-I was just amazed when my husband told me that! I’m sure if we looked at the nutrition info of most restaurants we’d be shocked.
