Safeway-Fits My Budget This Week!!

by Danielle on March 13, 2010

Ok, so I’m crazy.  I just tried going to bed, but I was too stinkin excited to share these deals with you.  You see, I met with some really fabulous ladies today, and we were talking about Safeway deals.  They were scoring some really great deals, so I took about 30 minutes tonight to find the necessary coupons and headed to Safeway at 8:45.  Here’s what I bought:

26 items: $7.44 Like Paying $.29 per item!

Hunt’s Tomatoes $1 x 4
Use (2) $.50/2 from Safeway Heart Healthy Coupon Booklet
AND $1/4 from Conagra mailer
Total $.50 each

Barilla Pinoccili Pasta $.88 x 3
Use $.55/1 coupon from SS 3/7
Total FREE!

Suave 24 hour protection Deordorant $1.25(wyb 4) x4
Use (2) $1.25/1 printables
AND $3/2 printables
Total better than FREE!

Lunchable Subs $.99
Use $1/1 printable
Total FREE

Buy 5, Save $5 Instantly

Fresh Express Salads x2 and Vegetable Medley

Marie’s Salad Dressing $.99 x 2
Use $1/1 printable
Total FREE (I should have gotten 5 free, but learned a lesson in throwing out a coupon I didn’t think I would use-so thankful for the printable-thanks Jenna!)

Buy 5, Save $5 Instantly(be sure to check out the Betty Crocker fruit snack sale and catalina-I refrained from buying them so they’re not in the house-I totally should have and just may go back to get some to donate since they’re a MONEYMAKER!!) You can find an eCoupon here and printable coupons here!

Nature Valley  Granola Bars $1.50
Used $.40/1 printable
AND $.40/1 Cellfire coupon
AND $.40/1 Shortcuts.com coupon
Total- $.10 overage

Nature Valley Nut Clusters $1.50 x 2
Used $1/1 printable
AND $1/1 Cellfire coupon
Total $.50 overage

Kellogg’s Fruit Snacks $1
Used $1.50/1 Vocal point mailer coupons
or you can use $1/1 printable
Total FREE!

I also purchased 1% Milk, Whole Milk, and bananas.  I could have walked out of there paying a lot less without these purchases and if I would have had more of the Marie’s Dressing coupons, however I still saved 90% tonight!  We will use the lettuce and veggies anyways.  The tomatoes do go lower, but again we were in need of some.

What great deals are you finding this week at Safeway?  Check out what Jenna got for only $.01!!

Remember the frozen food special going on-I still haven’t been in there to take advantage and stock my freezer.  I’m hoping to go next week or early the following week since it doesn’t end until March 31st.  Have you all found some great deals?!

Thank you so much ladies for cluing me into these wonderful deals!  Check out their great match ups here, here, or here!

Jenna-
Crazy antics of a couponer! Oh, if only others knew what they were missing! Thankfully we can SHOW them what they’re missing!
Going out late is so much easier-then the kids aren’t along and my 2 year old isn’t putting stuff in the cart! Talk to you soon!
