Last week I showed you guys how I used this homemade salsa in the Taco Chili. This homemade salsa is so easy to make and tastes delicious! My husband found it online a couple years ago-it’s supposed to replicate Chili’s Salsa(I don’t have the reference source as he found it and copied it onto a recipe card).
The blender(or food processor) makes this so easy to do and eliminates dirtying up several bowls!
Here’s what you need:
1- 14.5oz can Tomatoes & green chilies(Rotel)
1- 14.50z can whole canned tomatoes plus juice(I’ve used diced too)
2 teaspoons jalapenos(canned, diced(not pickled))-we don’t always have this on hand and it has quite the kick even without it!
1/4 cup yellow onion
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp sugar
Throw it all in the blender, pluse to your desired consistency, transfer to bowl, and refridgerate for about an hour so the flavors blend! ENJOY!
Another great tasting dip we’ve tried recently is this amazing Buffalo Chicken Dip! We put it in the crockpot on low and serve with Tostito chips.
Both of these would make excellent party dips!

This looks amazing and so easy!! I’m gonna have to try this this week! My mom and aunt are coming into town and LOVE chips and salsa!
Speaking of chips and dips, my family favorite dip is so easy!
1 cream cheese
milk (start with a couple of TBSP)
garlic salt (1/2 tsp–start with that)
squeeze of lemon
put all into a bowl and use a hand mixer and mix until smooth. I start with a little milk and garlic salt and add more as I go. Put in fridge before serving. Remember that the garlic salt flavor gets stronger as it sits. Serve with a hearty chip like Ruffles.
