My favorite mother/daughter memory was when it was just my oldest daughter (now 18) and I.

We were running from a really abusive relationship, I had packed the diaper bag and prepared it by the front door. He went out the back door to the neighbors house and I grabbed her and the bag and started running. I had gotten to a safer place and sat down to rest.

She was about 6 months old and was very quiet, just watching me. I curled her up in my arms and looked at her, had tears streaming down my face and told her I’d protect her forever.
She just laughed at me.

My daughter graduates from high school in less than a month. Our life is amazing now, we are safe, happy, healthy and as she goes off to college I know I kept my promise

My favorite grandma/g.daughter memory is when I set up my grandaughter’s bedroom. I am raising Anissa, who is 7. Her therapist said she should be sleeping in her own room. I have had her sleeping ewith me since I am a widow and she felt safer sleeping with me. She told the therapist she had decided 10 was the right age for her to sleep alone, not 7.
