We’ll be at the lake this week which means grillin and relaxin every night! And of course…we’ll be ending the nights with a roasted marshmellow…or four!
Breakfast-the resort we stay at offers free breakfast so we’ll do that most of the mornings, but I’m also bringing some eggs, yogurt, cereal for the mornings we sleep in!
Lunch-We’ll keep these simple with deli meat sandwiches, carrots, pasta salad, and chips
Sunday-Dinner with my family or free burgers at the resort.
Monday-Grilled Beef Sausage(husband’s request!), grilled pototes, tomato & cucumber salad, and jello
Tuesday-Steaks(Happy Birthday Hubby!), sweet corn, baked beans
Wednesday-Dinner at local restaurant
Thursday-Hamburgers, pasta salad, melon
Friday-Hotdogs, leftover baked beans, fruit
Saturday-Dinner with Family
We may be on vacation, but we’ve found in the past few years that it’s so much cheaper and easier to bring our own food and cook. The first year we were at the lake, little man was only a year old. Too many of the nights we found ourselves having to clean up just to run into town to pay too much for eating at a restaurant. It’s so much easier to just put on some comfy clothes, cook by the campfire, and relax! Plus, my husband loves knowing he doesn’t have to budget for food when planning the vacation budget!
