One thing I love about blogging is the chance to try new products! Last week we received the new Heart Healthy Hotcakes by Lehi Roller Mills. My little man loves pancakes and wanted them that night for dinner. I gave in of course because that meant easy dinner preps for me!
Now, I’ll admit I was a little skeptical since it’s a boxed pancake mix and only required adding water. After trying Sarah’s Griddle Cakes(which I add flaxseed to for a punch of fiber and a little nutty flavor), I didn’t know if I wanted to try anything else! But, since the Heart Healthy Hotcakes are made with organic wheat, Omega 3′s, flaxseed, and have no preservatives or transfat I wanted to give it a try. It’s a healthy option which requires little work on my part!
So what did I think? We loved them! My son had seconds(as always with pancakes), my baby girl ate two, and I thought they tasted great! I’d have to say they far exceeded my expectations! We’ll be having them again for breakfast this week!

They’d be great to take along on a camping trip or vacation since you only need water and a fry pan or griddle!
