I Got Paid to Buy Groceries at King Soopers!

King Soopers Trip 8/4/10

I had mystery shops to do tonight so this is actually from two different stores.  I spent $29.85 total and will make/be reimbursed for $28 of it plus received a $5 catalina from Kraft so I am calling it a $3.15 Money-Maker.  Here are the details:

Kraft Cheese Singles x 6 $1.66 each
Tuna Helper x 3 $.49 each less $.75/3 coupon doubled to $1 plus coupon from shortcuts for $.75=$.25 Overage
Fast Fixin Chicken Nuggets x4 $1 each less $1 IP off coupon from website= FREE
Mann’s Fresh Cut Broccoli $2 used $1 off coupon from writing to manufacturer
Deli Chicken Breasts x 2 $2.88
Kings Hawaiian Rolls $.99
Honest Tea $1- used doubled IP coupon from manufacturer web site FREE
Cutter Mosquito Repellant $4.69 used $.55 peelie on product-doubled
Kroger Infant Gas Drops $3.98
Glade Soy Candle $1.49 used $1 off coupon
2 Gallons of Milk $2.19 each
Tyson Ready to Serve Diced Chicken $1.49 each, used $1 off each coupons

Yes, and I blew it on the cheese.  I only needed to buy five for the catalina but didn’t realize I had grabbed six. I normally wouldn’t pay much for the bug spray or the gas drops but it was an emergency for both those items. The candle was just for fun and the chicken breasts were a splurge since I wasn’t home to make dinner.  I did the shops between getting the kids to swim class and there was just no way we were all going to be able to get to the dinner table at the same time. Plus it was pouring down rain and the power went out at the house.  The milk should last a week  and we can add the chicken to salads, soups and pasta this week. I am trying not to use a lot of prepackaged items but the Tuna Helper gave me an overage and I can donate it or use it in a pinch.  What did you find at King Soopers this week?  If any one out there is interested in doing mystery shopping please let me know.  There is a company I get quite a few from and have not had any issues getting paid. I don’t get any incentives for referrals so this is only because I  have had a good experience with it and want you to have the same.  Likewise if you know of any reputable mystery shopping companies I would love to post them on the site.

Who do you mystery shop for? I do several companies. I find that a lot of the shops are in the suburbs, so I never do those. I’m always up for ones with Denver shops though!

Good to hear from you again Lauren. How did your marinara from scratch turn out? I have been working for MSI for about a year and like them a lot. Take a look at http://www.msishopper.net . They seem to have a lot of shops in Denver and fewer in Aurora I have noticed. I’d love to hear which ones you are doing, the ‘burbs shops would suit me just fine.

Take a look at http://www.msishopper.net. Let me know if you have any trouble finding it. I am still working on the technical issue of creating links;). Pay day is on the 5th and the 20th. It is not something to bet rich off from but it is fun work and I love all the free stuff. I recommend going easy on the scheduling at first. It is usually very flexible with a window of a few days to complete but I have made the mistake of doing to many in one day and coming home totally exhausted. Finding great deals can be hard work! Let me know how it turns out for you.

I am very interested on doing the mystery shopping. I have only seen ones that say “spend $200 in Walmart electronics, and we’ll put the money in your account. Thank you.

Take at look here. Please don’t ever pay money to work for any of these as that is a sure sign they are fake. They do ask for your personal information on the registration paperwork and bank information if you would like them to deposit your payments directly. I didn’t give the bank information until I received my first paper check in the mail to confirm that it was real. Let me know how it works for you.

MSI is my favorite and thats who I do most of my jobs with. I am signed up with a few others but either don’t get a lot of assignments or the jobs and system are more complicated and I don’t want to spend the time learning it. There was one company I did three shops for in one day and had been expecting $100 payment and only received $5. The data entry system was so hard to navigate I had errors and was penalized for everything so it turned out to be a huge waste of time. I’ll pass any other good ones I hear about on to you.

I signed up. Thank you for the link. I hope to be considered!

Where do you find the Fast Fixin Chicken Nuggets? I’ve looked but cannot seem to locate them…help!!

At my store they are in the freezer section adjacent to the bacon and meat area. Not in the main freezer section. Hope this helps.
