Safeway, lots of free stuff today 8/14/10

Good trip to Safeway today.  Had to verify for you guys that all the catalina’s were printing as expected

Spent $25.03 and have $2.50 catalina left over. Here’s the scoop:

International Delight Coffee Creamer, $2.19 used $.55 IP doubled
Pampers Wipes $2.79, MQ Buy Diapers Get Wipes FREE, gave $3.50 credit = $.71 MONEY MAKER 
Pampers Wipes $5.99 less above coupon  $2.49
Pampers Baby Dry & Cruisers $8.99 x 2 -$1.50 MQ x 2 $14.98
Nature Valley Bars x 4 less $.75 ecoupon,
Nature Valley Nut Clusters- x 4 $2.79 -I blew it and got the only variety not included in sale, arrggh!
Cinnamon Toast Crunch  $1.49 less $.55 ecoupon & $.55 doubled IP FREE and 6 cent money maker
Cocoa Puffs $1.49- messed up again, thought there was ecoupon and did not use paper coupon, arrggh again!
Cheerios- $1.49 less $.55 ecoupon and $.55 paper coupon doubled FREE  and 6 cent money maker

BC Fruit Snacks x 4 used 2 x $.50/2 IP coupons and 3x $.50 ecoupons, paid $.50, received $2.50 catalina for $2 PROFIT
Kraft Sandwich Mayo x 2 marked down 50% to $.99 and used 2x $1.00 MQ FREE
Hunts Snack Pudding x 6 $6.00 less 2 x $.30 MQ doubled and $3.00 off from ad $1.80 or $.30 each pack
Chef Boyardee x4 $.69 each less $1.50/4 IP $1.26 for 4 and let me get to 10 items to use coupon above
Mission Tortillas $1.99 less $.55 ecoupon and $1 MQ= $.44
Muir Glen Tomatoes $2.49 each marked down 50% less $.75 IP coupon doubled $.24 each
Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls x2 $4.49 each marked down 50% less $1 off each (?)
Pillsbury Cookie Dough x 3 $2.49 each, 50% off and $1/2 &$.55/1 MQ’s and 2x$1.00 ecoupon=FREE and  $.26 money maker

So as you can see I made a few costly mistakes or my total would have been much lower.  Make sure you don’t buy any varities of Nature Valley that don’t have a sale sticker under them.  And you are probably thinking “why in the world did she buy diapers at that price???”  There were shelf stickers on some P & G items but not others so I asked at customer service for a list.  They didn’t have a copy and told me to get $25 worth and if the catalina didn’t print they would give me the cash back.  So that’s what I did. Paid $16.76 before $10 cash back or $6.76 for two jumbo packs of diapers, large wipe and small wipes.  And I used the $10 catalina I received from Albertson’s last week. 

I started my “stockpile” over a year ago and am now to the point where I very rarely need to buy anything that’s not perishable.  With having everything “in stock” as my daughter calls it I never have to buy things at a higher price out of necessity.  We have a trip planned to the Farmer’s Market this afternoon and I will be using last week’s Morningstar Farms for most of the meals for the week. My goal for you would be to get to the same point with your “in stock” items and plan your meals from your pantry, not the grocery store. You will be amazed at how much you will save.
