I am happy to report I did a little freezer cooking last week so this week will be a lot less hectic. Swim doesn’t start again until next Monday and my daughter’s choir and other activities are mainly in the mornings before school now. We may have Girl Scout’s this Friday- I have to check and Back To School night is Thursday night. And The Boy, well he is just forever into mischief. Here’s what we are doing for the week.
Sunday-Omaha Steaks & Twice Baked Potatoes courtesy of Papa. This is as close as we come to eating out these days. It’s almost better than going to a restaurant because I don’t have to worry about the kids getting impatient and annoying the other diners. And I doubt we will get any funny “control your kid” looks from Nana or Grandma.
Monday-Penne Pasta with Grilled Italian Sausage and Marinara Sauce- I have a lot of Ital. Sausage from my score at Target that needs to be used. Since we will use the free Ronzoni pasta and the cheap Muir Glen tomatoes and sauce this should be a really frugal dinner, about $2 to make. And then the leftovers will go to school with my daughter on Tuesday since she doesn’t like the pizza the school serves on . While I’m cooking I will go ahead and make extra sauce and pasta and assemble a few trays of lasagna and make the Italian Spinach Pie recipe from Once A Month Cooking.
Tuesday we have now agreed is Dad’s night to plan and prep dinner so I can get your grocery ads up. I’ll let you know what we get but I am sure it will be good.
Wednesday-Taco Pie-from last week’s freezer cooking
Thursday-Pot Roast
Friday-Chinese Chicken Salad with Morningstar Farms Chicken-
Saturday-Lasagne made and froze on Monday
What’s on your meal plan this week?
