I must confess when Target first announced price matching I wasn’t all that excited. Really, it’s hard enough somedays to check out with coupons and I didn’t imagine how it could be worth the added complication. How wrong I was! I took my Albertson’s ad to Target yesterday and price matched a few of the $.99 items. I also used the Target.com printable coupons to make for a lower total (I used 2 computers to do this plus found some coupons from last period). I wouldn’t have been able to use the Target store coupons at Albertson’s so it was absolutlely worth the effort. Here’s what I got:
5 bags American Beauty egg noodles- $.55 per bag- used 5x $.50 off printable coupons
8 jars Ragu sauce $.99 each and then used Target $.50/2 coupons
6 or 8 jars of Skippy peanut butter $.99 and used Target $.75/2 coupons
2 bottles Wishbone dressing $.99- used $.75/1 Target coupons to get these for $.24 each
small Motrin bottles $3.14 each/used $6/2 coupons
Excedrin $5.99/used $5.99/free coupon
Nature Made fish oil pills $5, used $4 off from All You magazine
from King Sooper:
Johnson sample boxes $1.59, used $1 off each, Glade and Airwick were marked down to $4.49, used a $3 and a $4 off coupon, Coffee-Mate holiday flavors marked down to $.55 each , used $1 off coupon
What price matching ideas do you have for the week? Anyone want to come over for egg nooodles and Ragu? Grocery match ups to follow soon…..
