Large Can Pinto Beans $4 & can of kidney beans $.68-it would have been more frugal to buy dried beans and soak overnight but I was short on time and found this was cheaper than buying a bunch of individual cans. My favorite chili starter was $4.99 so I just glanced over the ingredients and will make my own this time. I’ll be adding beans to our salads and anything else we eat this week! My plan is to make a huge amount of chili in the crock pot for Dad and then freeze the leftovers for future meals. Since I have everything else all ready this will make at least 4 meals for $6 out of pocket.

I did spend $113 but we don’t have such big trips often and all the meat will last a long time. I had $93 off in coupon savings so even with all the splurges I still saved about 50%.
