There was a time I cold easily spend $100 at the bookstore every month, sipping expensive coffee drinks and buying magazines at full price. I amazes me that at any given time you can get at least 100 different downloads on Amazon completely free. You do not need to buy a Kindle (although my husband uses one and loves it). I just download the material to my computer using the free app. Going to the library is another frugal option if you are responsible. I am working off a $90 bill right now for a “frugal cooking” book that I thought I returned and just found last week under the sofa when we moved. Not in the least bit frugal in that scenario- I could have bought ten cook books for that price and wouldn’t have to hang my head in shame when I take Jake to storytime. Um, not for the bill anyways;)
