Halloween decor and costumes were 70% off at my Super Target. Candy & snack items were 50% off.
Plastic bowls $.48 each– I hope my daughter likes them- she has her own kitchenette in the new house but no dishes yet
Tissue Paper $.24
Teacher Stickers $.62- I forgot that I am not a paper grader this year and have just been in the habit of buying them. They are not in the picture because Jake ran off with them. Since I don’t need them for homework I might start using them on the “Honey Do” Lists. Don’t you think Dan would enjoy a “Good Work” sticker for taking out the trash?
Tide $.97, used the $2 off any coupon- which I normally would have reminded them to adjust down but we were so busy having an attitude and arguing about the rest of my coupons that I forgot.
Pasta Sauce & Pasta $1 each- used $1.50 off both from last month (Target.com, exp. 11/4) and $1 off both from this month $.25- $.50 each
plus I added in the Target.com coupon from last month for $1 off three dry pastas
Kikkoman Panko $1.89- used BOGO and $.75 off each - paid $.57 each- in retrospect, maybe not such a great deal
Philadelphia Cooking Creme $2.49, used $1 off Target coupon and $1 off printable- paid $.49
Kraft Marshmallow’s $.59 each
NYC Nail Polish $.94 each, used Target.com $1 off-free
Candles $3.24 each
Halloween Craft Kit $1.50, Confetti $.90, Poms $.60 ( I’m planning to make Jake some of the “busy-bags” mentioned on Money Saving Mom for his birthday)
King Sooper-
I managed to use that Aveeno $3/2 coupon on two travel sized lotions at KS- they were $1.49 each instead of $.97 like at Target
16 x green stoneware plates for $.60 each! My store also had ivory and orange and matching mugs but no bowls left. I thought these would be great for extra Thanksgiving plates.
Kroger Cottage Cheese $.99 marked down- used $.40 from Kroger home mailer
Campbell’s Cream of Chicken Soup $.49 as part of mega event- bought 20 at $.29 each after coupon
Scrubbing Bubbles Kits $2.29 on markdown rack
Ajax Dish Soap $.99, used $1 off coupon- FREE

I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Sticks $1.49, used $.150 off- free
“ ” Spray $1.49, used $1 off- paid $.49
Muir Glen canned tomatoes- $3/5 or $.66 each after coupon- the small cans of paste were $.99 of free after coupon
I feel like I owe a disclaimer here that Jake was with me both trips and both were borderline disasters……. You can beat yourself up for not being an “Extreme Couponer” and saving 90% or just go with it and give yourself kudos for even braving the store with kids in tow. You know- that is a great idea for a game show- trying to use coupons, meal plan and stick to a list while juggling children. It could be a take-off on “Wipeout”!
In Target I got to checkout and automatically knew it was going to go downhill- it always amazes me how indignant a cashier can be about accepting coupons and so full of their own ego’s when they have not gone through the trouble to read their own stores policies. It was one of those checkout’s where I might have been left with a touch more dignity getting cavity- searched at the airport. Either way- us couponers are a threat to national security and I was out to bankrupt Target buy attempting to buy a travel sized item with a coupon. For shame! never-mind all the many times I have been overcharged or how many people are tucking items into their coats while three employees are interrogating the “coupon mom” that shops there all the time. Can you picture my big eye roll right now?
I hadn’t had enough after Target and ventured into KS where the TV cart was still down and all three kids carts, according to Jake, were dirty. So we wiped them all down with the complimentary wipes but he still didn’t think they were clean enough so walked along side (or in front of) the cart the entire time with me trying to direct someone that doesn’t know left from right to get out of everyone’s way. But, the upside was that I found an amazing deal on dishes for the dining room ($.60 each!), my purse didn’t get stolen while I was chasing Jake down the aisles and that we made it to the bathroom in time so I’m calling it a successful trip!

My pretty new dishes!

Love your table and place settings! btw – I’m in denver too
Nice score at both stores, expecially on the dishes. That sucks they were rude at Target. That show is driving me nuts.
