by erica on December 29, 2011

Here is a $34 trip to Albertson’s that should stretch pretty far.  The 10 lbs of meat will make for at least 7 dinners and a few lunches.

Barilla Pasta & Sauce $3
Italian Sausage marked down to $1.59
Bath Tissue 12 rolls $2.99 with in ad coupon
Pork Roast marked down to $6.27 5.5 lbs
Chicken marked down to $5 for 5 lbs
Round Steak 1 lb marked down to $4.41
Bananas $1.19, Cucumber $.69
Fresh Express salad $.99 x 6- I expected to use the $2 manufacturer coupon from the Safeway site and get them free or get an overage but that didn’t work out
Blueberries x 3 $.99 each Coke $.99 x 2- free with Facebook coupon ( I think it reset because I was able to get two more)
Pop Secret- free with Disney Movie Rewards coupon (earn points)

Menu Plan from this trip-
Pasta, Sauce & Italian Sausage and salad for two nights-  $3.48 per dinner
(I’ll add the canned tomatoes I got for $.19 in the pantry to stretch it out and homemade croutons)
Pork Roast, Potatoes and onions (in pantry- about $.75) about $7 total for 2 nights or $3.50 each dinner
Chicken, Rice, Salad $6.50- should make dinner for 2 nights
Steak will either be used in fajitas using bag of frozen pepper mix, tortillas in freezer (add about $1.50) and leftover rice or for beef stroganoff with egg noddles and Kraft Cooking Cream (less than $1 spent on both)
