I can never remember what is on the “dirty” list from year to year as to what you should buy organically. Certainly it is better for you to eat more conventional produce than none if organic isn’t in your budget (like most of us). A rule of thumb I heard once to was buy organic on items that you would normally need a lot of chemicals to deter pests. Certainly true for berries or fruits but not necessary for root vegetables and fruits that have a thick outer covering- think cantaloupe, bananas, watermelon. And buy organic on soft peeled fruits you eat a lot of (or your kids or what you use for homemade baby food). Has anyone else heard this? How do you remember what to buy from the organic department and is it really worth it?
