Using This Site
Welcome!
I wanted to take a minute to explain some of the things you’ll find on this site. First of all, you’ll find ways to stretch your dollar, printable coupons, frugal tips, freebies, and more! If you are new to couponing you may seemed a little overwhelmed at first. Don’t worry, it doesn’t take long to get the hang of it! This page will help you with some of the basics.
Here is an example of what you’ll see on a weekly shopping list:
DiGiorno Pizza $5.99
Use $1/1 SS 7/5
Total=$4.99
What does this mean? DiGiorno Pizza is on sale for $5.99(advertised special). If you use a coupon for $1 off one item from the July 5th Smart Source insert you’ll spend $4.99 on the pizza.
Coupons 101
Part 1-Where to Find Coupons
Part 2-When to Use Coupons
Part 3-Which Coupons to Keep
Part 4-Organizing Your Coupons
Each week I plan on matching the weekly flyers with coupons(from newspaper inserts and printable). Here are a few abbreviations you’ll see on the site for coupons:
SS-Smart Source
P&G-Procter&Gamble
RP-RedPlum
GM-General Mills
KK-Kelloggs
wyb-when you buy
RR-Register Rewards(Walgreens)
I know there is a lot to learn, but I can’t stress enough how much it is worth it. Coupons have saved my family so much money! Check back daily to see how I am using coupons to save money. I will report each week how much I spend(we have a $40 weekly budget). You can also email me with any questions, subscribe to receive daily email updates, or leave a comment. I hope you enjoy the site and start saving your family money!
Thanks!
Danielle
