Hi Danielle!
I just did some research online and apparently the Shutterfly promo codes are account specific, which means that not everyone can use all promo codes.
Remember that I tried using the code PRINTS to get my free 50 4×6 and it didn’t work for me but you were able to use it? My friend tried using the code SUMMERBOOK to get the photo book for free and it didn’t work for her, but worked for me… Go figure.
Well, I figure I would let you know in case someone contacts you about the SUMMERBOOK code.
Have a great night!
Paula
OfficeMax has a few back to school deals this week — 1 penny for notebook paper, 5 cents for rulers, 10 cents for pencils. I think I got single-subject notebooks yesterday for 5 or 10 cents each.
I’m really gung ho to start cutting coupons and saving some money. Do you have a suggestion as to a good coupon holder that will hold all the coupons in their categories?
This is really going to be a matter of personal preference. A lot of “professional” couponers swear by using a binder and base-ball card holder style inserts. Some use a photo storage box. I have used the plastic sectioned divider thing that I once used at work. It is much larger than a typical coupon holder that you buy at your craft store for a buck. It’s super durable and has about thirty sections. It has served my needs well (picture to follow at some point!) for a year and I just recently moved to the binder method. When I go throught my stores weekly ads I then move my coupons out of the section in the binder or holder and put them in an envelope with the store’s name on the front. That way I am not taking very much with me into the (especially if I have kids in tow) and will only get what I planned for. Then if I see a really amazing deal I can go to the binder that I left in the car. A word of advice, whatever method you choose make sure it closes. I bought plastic pages for my binder because I was too cheap to invest in base-ball card pages. Picked it up upside down the othernight and had all my coupons fall out and had to chase them around in the parking lot. I still have not reassembled it and all the precious coupons I was able to save are sitting in a bucket, expiring as I write this. Some of the serious coupon sites sell their own binders and you can also find some premade on Ebay. If you choose to do your own consider how much you are willing to carry and how comfortable you are with everyone seeing your set up. A binder does drawn some attention whereas a smaller holder could fit into your reusable shopping bag (that’s how I do it). It terms of collecting coupons, do a google search of the items you use most and send an email to the manufacturer to get coupons through the mail. Also check Ebay. You can get full inserts or just coupons for a single product. I think we will do a post soon about getting started and organizing with coupons so keep an eye out for it. Let us know how you do.
